What I want to Achieve/Do in this Circuit Breaker period? (Stay Home)

A little breakdown of what's happening in my country about the coronavirus situation. I live in Singapore and the government announced a circuit breaker period and encouraged us to stay home until May 5. It was recently extended to June 1 to bring down the number of coronavirus cases in the country. Most of the stores in public are closed except essential services such as food, clinics.

Thrown into this coronavirus situation so early and straight after I graduated at the end of February 2020, I couldn't find a job due to the poor economy which is becoming a recession. Therefore, I have found ways to occupy my time at home and made some goals :)

This blog will be broken down into these categories; food, personal, and entertainment.

Food

1. Make nice, fluffy Japanese souffle pancakes

By fluffy, I mean pancakes that wobble when I shake them. I've been dying to eat desserts since the government announced a circuit breaker period and encouraged us to stay home. Therefore, to satisfy my cravings and boredom at home, I decided to make what I crave by myself.

2. Make a successful Milo Dalgona

Sadly, I can't drink coffee. For if I do, I won't be able to sleep at night. But there were many versions of the drink and I decided to pick up one that allowed me to sleep at night!

I failed twice in making this trendy drink. The first time was because I didn't have ovalette and tried to make the drink without it, which affected the formation of the foam atop the drink (too watery). The second time was because I stirred the mixture for too long and it became too thick.

3. Bake cakes using Cocoa Powder as one of the ingredients.

As I recently bought it to make a marble cake, I want to make use of the ingredient so I don't end up throwing the unused cocoa powder away when it expires.

Personal

1. Learn lettering

Why not pick up this skill when I have the time to do so? I have always wanted to learn! The words look so beautiful and I always had a thing for curvy words.

2. Attend online courses to improve my skills

Preferably free ones, since I'm unemployed at the moment.

3. Write 1 blog post every week on Blogger & Wordpress

To keep the blog updated.

4. Research on areas of interest to visit in Japan

Planning an itinerary takes a lot of time and effort and since I have nothing to do at home, I might as well make use of the time to find out where my next trip to Japan should be as well as areas of interest.

5. Maintain my weight

This means not gaining any more weight and controlling my diet. I can't have myself become obese at the end of this virus from staying home!

6. Practice my Japanese and do my homework

I have soooo much homework that I have not completed from my Japanese classes and most are kanji practices which I hate... Ugh

7. Decorate my desk

I just graduated so I cleared my table of all notes and a quite large empty space was made available. I'm planning to buy some fake plants and ornaments to decorate the space.

Entertainment

1. Finish my to-watch anime list

This means the list I made when I was too busy in school to finish the anime.

2. Write my book

Unfortunately, this is really hard for me to do. I've been having writers' block for a few months now. I hope to get some ideas from movies and to come out with a few chapters soon.

3. Read 1 electronic historical romance book per day

I've been doing since I finished my last exams at the end of February and to date (14/05/2020), I have completed around 100 books. With my current book count of 254, I'm hoping to read 400 books this year.

4. Watch Netflix

All those movies waiting to be watched. I shouldn't waste my subscription fee. :>

n
Yup, that's about what I plan to do with my time. After the virus is over, I would probably go to university or work.
